Olive oil, from our home to yours

Estate olive oils promote the character and individuality of their products, which are influenced by local natural factors such as: soil, altitude, climatic conditions, and the olive variety. The distinctive characteristics of each region's oils makes the whole concept of “Denomination of Origin” regions possible.

Astrikas Estate is located in the small village of Astrikas south of the town of Kolymbari in northwestern Crete. Perfect elevation (around 300m), rich soil and benevolent climatic conditions form an ideal combination for the cultivation of the olive tree. All the estate's olive trees are of the Koroneiki variety, some of them hundreds of years old.

Biolea's objective is to produce an estate olive oil from a specific “terroir”, untainted in its quality and taste and which reflects the unique organoleptic properties of our soil, local microclimate and traditional olive oil production method.
